Rejuvenate the stone surfaces of your home with Rainguard Water Sealers Stone Sealer! Our non-toxic and water-based formula lasts up to 5 years* and is safe for people, pets, and plants. Stone Sealer penetrates the surface and forms an invisible protective barrier that resists weather, water, efflorescence, and stains on unpainted and previously unsealed stone. It helps prevent the growth of mold and mildew, protects against efflorescence, and is safe for indoor or outdoor use with little to no odor and zero VOC’s. Unlike conventional water repellents, Stone Sealer is available in concentrate form so you never have to spend extra money on water and excessive packaging.

*When applied at appropriate spreadrates, see application instructions for details.

  • Finish: Dries With A Natural Finish, Invisible With No Gloss

Dry Time

Can I use this on painted stone?

No. You will want to use Paint Sealer on your painted stone.

Can I paint over Stone Sealer at a later time?

Yes. You can paint over Stone Sealer but keep in mind it will not protect the paint from moisture damage. You may want to use Paint Sealer after the surface is painted and fully dry to protect the paint from moisture damage. You may also apply Gloss Sealer at a later time if you should decide you would like a glossy finish.

What is freeze / thaw damage?

Freeze-thaw damage refers to the deterioration of materials, such as concrete, masonry, or brick, due to repeated cycles of freezing and thawing. When water penetrates into porous materials and freezes, it expands, causing internal pressure and damage. Subsequent thawing can lead to the formation of cracks, spalling, and weakening of the material.

What is the mix ratio for the concentrates?

For the quart concentrate that makes TWO gallons – Dilute 1 part concentrate to 7 parts clean water. Store the remainder in a temperature-controlled environment (meaning do not let freeze or overheat).

For the quart concentrate that makes FIVE gallons – Dilute 1 part concentrate to 19 parts clean water. Store the remainder in a temperature-controlled environment (meaning do not let freeze or overheat).
