Protect and add beauty to your wood, concrete, and masonry with Rainguard Water Sealers Gloss Sealer! Our non-toxic and water-based formula lasts up to 5 years* and is safe for people, pets, and plants. Gloss Sealer adheres to the surface and forms a thin protective barrier that resists weather, water, and stains on painted or unpainted wood, concrete, other masonry. It provides a decorative finish that is safe for indoor or outdoor use with little to no odor and very low VOC’s. Unlike conventional glossy water repellents, Gloss Sealer is available in concentrate form so you never have to spend extra money on water and excessive packaging.

  • Finish: Dries With A Glossy Finish, Clear With No Darkening Of The Surface
  • Durable: Will not yellow, crack, or peel – even in direct sunlight!
  • Layer Your Application: Apply 1 coat for a satin finish, 2 coats for a glossy finish, and 3 coats for a high shine finish
  • Pro Tip: Apply 1 coat of any project sealer and then topcoat with Gloss Sealer for a glossier finish in fewer coats!

*When applied at appropriate spreadrates, see application instructions for details.

What makes Gloss Sealer different?

A proprietary ingredient called Micro-Lok™. This additive ensures the absorption of the sealer into the surface and creates a long-lasting hydrophobic barrier that is not affected by weathering, salt, dirt, freezing temperatures, UV light, and wind-driven rain, among many other damaging elements.

Coverage

Up to 200 sq. ft. / gallon depending on surface porosity

FAQ's

Can I use this on my driveway or anywhere with hot tire traffic?

No. You will want to use Garage Floor Sealer for any surface you plan on having hot tire traffic.

Can I use this on a painted or stained surface?

Yes. However, the paint or stain MUST be fully cured BEFORE applying Gloss Sealer to prevent discoloration. Cure times vary, so please refer to paint or stain label for cure time.

What is freeze / thaw damage?

Freeze-thaw damage refers to the deterioration of materials, such as concrete, masonry, or brick, due to repeated cycles of freezing and thawing. When water penetrates into porous materials and freezes, it expands, causing internal pressure and damage. Subsequent thawing can lead to the formation of cracks, spalling, and weakening of the material.

Can I paint over Gloss Sealer at a later time?

Yes. You can paint over Gloss Sealer but keep in mind it will not protect the paint from moisture damage. You may want to use Paint Sealer after the surface is painted and fully dry to protect the paint from moisture damage.
