Hydro-LOK waterproofing shoes tents gloves and more…

I am super excited about a couple of things I’m going to share with you today. First, Rainguard sent me some of their newest product, Hydro-LOK to try. What is Hydro-LOK? Why do you need it?

See? You do need it to protect your items from the elements.

Here is how I tried out my new Hydro-LOK. Did you know that these tents are water resistant, but NOT waterproof? If you’re having a craft show and one of these tents has water pooling on it, it will drip through. I didn’t want to take any chances, so I decide to treat my craft show tents with Hydro-LOK.

I sprayed one light coat, let it dry, then sprayed a second light coat. I feel so much better about my tents now. Your project needs to be a little porous so that it can actually absorb the Hydro-LOK. It is seriously that easy to protect your items such as work boots, patio furniture, wood, concrete and more!

I shot a little video to show you how well it works. I FORGOT to turn my phone so, you’ll have to ignore the black bars on each side.

In this photo you can see the evidence of the waterproofing — how the water beads up on the tent. Wow!

Now, for one last thing. For the first time ever I was able to put these tents up by myself. Have you put them up before? Do you know the secret to putting up an EZ UP tent? Pull the corners out as far as you can get them to go, then duck under the tent and gently lift up on this center piece. The legs will come off the ground and magically fall into place, and then CLICK. I was AMAZED at the ease of putting up the tent. (note, I didn’t push it all the way up into place because I needed to be able to spray it)
